Ways to make money online | 1k side hustle challenge

For the month of October, my personal finance friends Jason and Crystal created a 1k side hustle Challenge. The goal was to make $1,000 in the month of October on the side of your 9-5,  10-7, or maybe even 9 until whenever they decide to let you out lol. In today’s post, I’m going to walk you through how I was able to make money online this month.

Oh yeah, soooo you’re probably wondering if I even reached the goal of $1,000 on the side. I have in other months, but sadly I didn’t reach the goal this month. This month I made $901.71.  I got pretty darn close and am still proud of the progress I’ve made. It’s great to be able to make money online in the comfort of my home or a coffee shop because just 3 years ago I was working retail part-time to make extra money.

After a while I hated it. I hated standing up for hours, I hated having to move boxes and only being paid $8.50 an hour on top of taxes being taken out. It was brutal, so I’m super thankful that today I’m able to make money online with WI-fi, adobe programs, and a dream.

$407.00 Pinterest Services At my 9-5 I work in the studio creating graphics and presentations for huge brands. This is what I went to school for. One of my Pinterest clients I design their pins, and another client I created a template for him to use to redesign his pins and I also manage his Pinterest account.

I love services because you’re helping someone solve a problem and getting paid at the same time. I’m sure there are skills that you have that someone is too busy or just doesn’t want to deal with that you could take on and offer it as a service. Even if you work at a 9-5 they’re paying your to do certain skills every day, can you package up these skills and create a side hustle offering the same service you do at your 9-5?

$204.00 my digital products As many of you know I launched my book the Debt Slaying Challenge: Eliminating Debt Fast last month. I love digital products because you work really hard one time and the fruits of your labor continues to pay off for years. As you grow your following more people join you and will need help solving a specific problem that hopefully you’ve created a solution for. If you have a skill that you’re able to package up and you believe it’s solves a problem that people will pay for you should deff sell your knowledge.

Want to learn how to create your own website so that you can start selling your own digital products. In this post I’ll walk you through how to create your own blog. In one chapter of my Debt book I talk all about how to create your very own side hustle. In fact one of the people in my debt challenge was about to pay off $7,880.03 worth of debt because of his side hustle.

$165.00 Blue host affiliate One of my websites is hosted with Blue host so I partnered with them and if someone signs up to create a website through my link I get paid a commission. Obviously when it comes to affiliate products you want to make sure it’s something you believe In and are already using.

Need a website? Registering your domain name with Bluehost There are many places you can go to register your domain name, and to choose your hosting. I decided to go with Bluehost. Now I admit when I first put in my credit card information I wasn’t aware that they were going to be charging me for the entire year at once. Which was a little scary, but I gave them a call and was able to switch to only being billed $4.95 a month for one year. Bluehost was super helpful and made the change right away. $100 design Again my design skills came to the rescue I was able to use my skills to help someone and get paid. I hope you’re seeing a pattern here. On everything I’ve mentioned above it’s always about helping someone solve a problem and in exchange they pay you money. The value that you’re providing must be greater than the perceived investment price.

17.74 Dividends

Yes to dividend payments. Anytime I can wake up to money I love it. You guys know I love investing in fact, the first book I ever wrote was how to start investing in the stock market. The same principles that I mentioned in my book I’m still applying to my life today. The more stocks you buy the more money you will make. Wouldn’t it be awesome if your dividend payments could pay you $3,000 a month. It would take time and lots of money to get there, but it’s possible. There are people who are able to just live off of their dividend payments. #goals

$7.77 Google Adsense Alright, so It’s safe to say I’m not depending on my ad revenue to pay my bills just yet. My traffic took a huge hit the last week of October. The 2nd week of October my revenue in ads was at $15.00. My traffic for the month of October is 13,909 page views. Yes Survey Junkie will pay you to take a survey. I know you’re probably thinking this is too good to be true, but this is a thing why not fill out a survey with Survey Junkie while you’re watching an episode of your favorite t.v. show. So if you’re looking for a way to make money from home I recommend Survey Junkie  October has been good to me, I’ve won in some areas and failed in others, but it’s all apart of life. I believe that everyone should aim to have a side hustle of some sort and shouldn’t just rely on their job as their only source of income. It is possible for you to make more money without waiting to see if your job will decide to give you a little pay bump. Your job could be gone tomorrow and the last thing I would want for you is to be scrambling wondering how the heck you’re going to pay your bills.
