You Can Do Both: How to Pay Off Debt And Invest If You Make Less Than $50,000
When paying off all of my student loan debt in December of 2017 it was important for me to still invest my money because I didn’t want to be debt-free, but have a net worth of $0.00.
Remember a net worth is all of your assets minus all of your liabilities or everything you own (savings, investments) minus everything you owe (all of your debt)
The strategy I took allowed me to pay off $47,000 worth of debt while still having a net worth of over $50,000.
The first job I got 6 months after I graduated college I was making a whopping $30,000 a year. The next job after that $38,000 and I honestly should have negotiated (but my mindset wasn’t where it needed to be then, try me now though lol) because I was there for almost 5 years and never made more than $41,000.
We get it fam, you’re working your 9-5, trying to pay off debt, trying to brunch, trying to save and invest and it just doesn’t feel like it’s enough or like your debt is barely moving. Truth is you can’t afford not to pay off debt and invest at the same time. Your future self is depending on you to figure out a way to do both especially if you grew up in a family where money wasn’t really a discussion.
If deep down inside you want a different upbringing for your children or even a better future for yourself you have to start building wealth today. Anthony and I are here to show you how in an online masterclass replay video! We will cover a wide range of topics from money mindset, debt elimination, investing, your spending plan and so much more!
